Bob Wolin - 1929 Ford Roadster & 1931 Ford Coupe

Bob has been building hot rods for many years. He is also a master machinist with a very complete personal machine shop. Bob can fix almost anything made of metal and the heavier the metal, the better. He has help most of the Prowlers throughout the years. What a guy!

Bob currently has two hot rods which he of course built.

One is a 1931 Ford 5-window Coupe. It is an all metal car with a stock 31 Ford body. He purchased the body in July of 1976 (it was in a basket). The car was completely finished and on the road by March of 1978. It sports a Chevy 327 small block V-8, with a '57 Chevy 3-speed transmission with overdrive. The rear end is from a 1964 T-bird. The motor is capped with a triple-deuce set of Stromberg 97 carburetors running progressive linkage.

The other car is a 1929 Model-A roadster. He purchased the car in July of 1963 with no engine or transmission. It was on the road raising heck by November of the same year. Now the car has over 100,000 miles on it (and 7 paint jobs). There are numerous improvements he has made to the car and it still going strong. The roadster sports a 327 Chevy V-8 (1964 vintage) with a Chevy 3-speed transmission with overdrive from a 1957 car. As with his other car, the engine has a triple deuce carburetor setup with progressive linkage.

Both of these cars are driven regularly today. Bob attends the cruises in El Cajon and many others. As Bob says ... you gotta drive them!
