Prowlers Car Club  » News » Fred Castro Passes Away

It's with sad heart, we have to report the loss a true friend and hot rodder Fred "Chico" Castro.  Fred passed on Aug. 7th, 2008.  Fred was only a young 66 years of age.  Fred was a member of the San Diego Prowlers Hot Rod Club since 1962, and he held the member number of 70.  "Chico" was the first and only member to hold a "Life Membership" of our club!

Freddie was a "drive 'em" kind of guy, and was seen all over Southern California in his "T" Bucket or 1940 std. coupe.  He attended almost all the Father's Day L.A. Roadster Shows in his "T"; only missing the last few years!

Only the best of the fun times and memories will be remembered with this great guy in our greatest of hobbies!

Chico will always be remembered as the clubs  "Sergeant of Arms" and will be missed!
