Ken Polesky - 1928 Ford Phaeton

I was born and raised in Los Angeles.  I purchased my first car at age 13.  It was a 1933 Ford Vicky body and frame for $15.  My next car was purchased 6 months later, a 1936 Ford 5 window coupe (price was $50).  I had the car running with a Chevy V8 by the time I was 14 1/2.  When I was 16, I joined the Santa Monica branch of the "T Timers Car Club".  At age 19 I bought a 1928 Ford Roadster (which I still own).    I drove that Roadster to San Diego in November 1966, for active duty in the Navy (and never left).

I joined the LA Roadster Club in 1967 and remained a member until 1971.  Then I joined the San Diego Prowlers later in 1971.  I have been a Prowler ever since then.  My 1928 Ford Roadster was my original Club Car.  Now, my 1928 Ford Phaeton is my Club Car.  It was finished in February 1983 and has logged over 100,000 miles - and is still going strong.

I am now finishing my 1933 Ford Sedan Delivery.  I have owned this car since 1972 and plan on voting that into the Prowlers as my Club Car.

Here's Kens latest completed project '33 Ford sedan delivery and is his new club car.  This delivery won "Best Home Built" at this years Del Mar Goodguys show.  Kens won 2 or 3 other awards at other various shows  for this beautiful delivery. Ken still has his '28 Ford Phaeton also.

This beauty has also just won the title of "GoodGuys/Timberland Pro 2005 Homebuilt Heaven National Champion" !!  For more info about this great win check out our "News" column on this web site.

This is a shot of the '28 Ford Roadster Ken talks about in his club history above.  Jusy one of the many beautiful rods Ken has put together.  This shot was taken in the '70's after coming home from one of the big runs.  Theres another great shot of it in the '60's history section.
