Prowlers Car Club  » About Us

About the San Diego Prowlers Car Club

Welcome to the home page of the San Diego Prowlers. Established in 1947, the Prowlers are one of the oldest, if not the oldest continuously active hot rod club in California and perhaps the United States.

Made up of strictly Ford vehicles, our bylaws require that our cars or trucks be 1948 or older. In addition, three major modifications from stock condition are required to qualify for consideration as a Prowler club car. The vehicles must also be painted, upholstered and running in a safe manner.

We invite you to look through our website and enjoy the content herein. The Prowlers have a long history and many members have shared some of their memories for you to read.

Many of the photos within this site are over fifty years old and represent just a sample of our photographic history. We hope you like what you see and enjoy your review of the site. We would love to hear from you after your visit and let us know where you live and what you drive.
